The Honduran ambassador to Mexico, Alden Rivera said...he will monitor authorities in Mexico and the United States to ensure that due process for his countrymen is respected as required in the country they eventually decide to stay in.

Which would be either Mexico or Honduras. Mexico is the first country they landed in, they are able to seek asylum there, not here.

Actually, Guatemala is the first country they landed in. And believe it or not there are some amazing parts of Guatemala. Problem is, like most of latin america, either you are super rich or super poor...there is nothing in between
