In John Batchelor’s series of interviews with Dr. Vlahos on this subject of the coming civil war, one interview was about the late 1850s, and how most people could not envision the war that was about to happen and believed that, with some kind of bargaining, it wouldn’t. Dr. Vlahos pointed out that Americans already were in the early stages of civil war, but most people refused to acknowledge it.

I absolutely think civil unrest, at the least, is going to happen. I haven’t said otherwise.
