Republicans and other honest people consider most elections to be over when the polls close and the votes are counted.

Actually, I personally agree with the concept that every vote should count. However, I believe that election law is law for a reason, and most of us recognize when we are preparing our mail in ballots to mail it early enough, or when voting in person, to get there on time, OR WE DON’T GET TO VOTE.
The other problem with the ‘ever vote counts’ concept is the cheating, of course, and when democrats in Florida say that every vote should count, they really mean all the stuff that was brought in after they saw what the margins were shaping up to be.
I’m no legal scholar, but the problem here is, when does your (constitutional?) right to have a vote supersede local and state laws. Seems like there is room for an activist judge to question it that way
We all believe every legal vote should count.
When democrats say "every vote" they mean every ballot they can squeeze through the door, legal or not.
