And they made movies and TV shows about ‘corrupt’ rural towns (like... Sparta, or mississippi burning, etc.). Broward makes these people look like pikers. See: US Attorney Whisenant’s “suicide” and the corrupt Broward Sheriff’s office (many years back, a famous city confidential on the swinger’s scene, compromising commissioners and many others by a blackmailing husband/wife sheriffs officers swinger partners filming the wife with the ... target. Like KGB operations... blackmail.
