What is happening is exactly what he said, over and over, would happen. They are being detained and held until they get a hearing. That’s the law. They have to prove their need for asylum or they go back. No more catch and release. That’s what he said would happen.
Trump did not say that. Asylum must be requested at a port of entry. Other types of requests for admission must happen at a consulate in your own country. Before Trump issued an executive order last week, people sneaking into the USA anywhere had up to a year to request asylum. It’s probably being challenged in a court though it makes sense to me.
Sara Carter and a man from Judicial Watch and a second female reporter spent three days traveling with caravans. They interviewed many participants as well as helpers and government officials in Central America.
I only saw their video on a YouTube on the internet. They said that 98% of the migrants are working-age males and many were from non-western countries. Somehow our media is not interested in this story except as it can bash Trump.
I learned Spanish in HS, at the time it was a Foreign language.

This is the end of the Republic and Trump. The people will not forgive the lie that they will not be allowed to enter, unless he really brings war to the table. I cringed every time he lied and said the Wall was being built when he knew Ryan's bill specifically denied that any money could be spent on anything other than repair. That was a lie and he knew it was a lie. Apparently he lied about the caravan too.
