Democrats have won two Republican-held California state Senate seats in the Central Valley, giving the party veto-proof supermajorities in both chambers of the Legislature.

Vote totals updated since Election Day made winners Monday of Melissa Hurtado and Assemblywoman Anna Caballero.

Hurtado won the open 12th District seat while Caballero defeated Republican Sen. Andy Vidak in the neighboring 14th District. Both are in the Fresno area. Vidak, of Hanford, has held the seat since a special election in 2013.

The j@ck@ss voters who keep electing extremist leftist Rats to office are reaping what they have sown, and they will reap even more. California is truly doomed.

My advice to any Republican trapped in this horrible state is to get out while you can!! This state will continue to circle the toilet bowl. You don’t have to live in such a sh*tty state, there are other nice states to live in.

it’s alright, when they run out of money they will demand it from the federal taxpayers.

“A number of states seem to be turning quite blue, and I don’t see that trend being reversed.”

The only way to reverse it is for everyone to have skin in the game and pay their own way.

Attention all Californians: DON NOT COME TO TEXAS when you are taxed into poverty. You will not like it here one bit. Texas is ALL desert...no grass anywhere. The weather is horrible...-30 in the winter and 120 in the summer. There are rats and vicious dogs all over the place and big jumping cactus around every corner. In addition to that, there are diamond back rattle snakes that hide behind bushes in order to get a better strike position...

..so stay away from Texas...you have screwed up California & we don't want you to experience the same thing here...just looking out for your welfare....STAY OUT OF TEXAS...

The end will come rather quickly now. I’m expecting guns to be 100% banned and whites to be outlawed.

CA is actually doing well right now financially (if you ignore all the unfunded pension liabilities, of course), so it is time to kill the golden goose by raising taxes and pushing more of the productive, tax-paying people to leave. The cash surplus will disappear in no time.

You can get a lot of house in Florida with that sold home in California. We need 1.5 million conservatives only to move to Florida to equal the 1.5 million felons allowed to vote.

“After they settled in [Coeur D’Alene] ID, we counted over 1000 years in a CA prison for his gun collection and magazines.”

THAT is scary! Even clear over here in a small gun friendly Southern state. CA now regards any gun owner with suspicion.

There are lots of people who would be forced to sell if they eliminate prop 13. I know people who are paying 1200 a year prop tax on 2 mill house.

And here I was thinking of escaping to Nevada - I guess I better come up with another plan.

Is Idaho still safe?

From recent post I’ve read, Idaho isn’t really a good option anymore either. Pretty dang sad I tell ya. Maybe Utah?
