You said "30 somethings", which would encompass the 30 - 39 age group, part of whom are GEN Xers! As a matter of factg, most of that age group ARE Gen-Xers! :-)

There are exceptions to every rule and I DO know quite a few Millennials who aren't anything at all like the majority of their generation...they are married, have at least one child, own their own homes, have good jobs, and are Conservatives. But sadly, they are the EXCEPTION and not anywhere even remotely close to the majority of that generation.

That’s my point. In past generations a lot of younger people were somewhat liberal. I was more libertarian than liberal, but when we got married, had kids, bought houses, started careers we “grew up”. We had things worth preserving which made us more conservative. This isn’t happening with the young people I know. They acquire all the trappings of adulthood, but stay liberal and somewhat immature, which seem to go together. I built my first house at 27. Got married at 21. Now parents are expected to pay for a “child’s” insurance until they’re 26. It doesn’t bode well for the country to have a generation that refuses to grow up.
