Do you know if they know the identity of the suspect? I thought it was a rule with Amber Alerts, that they could not be issued without a suspect. Not clear whether they have to know who it is or not.

The Amber Alert is released as soon as the abduction of a child (young person) is reported, hoping that the issue is solved as soon as possible (more than 24 hours after a person is kidnapped, the chance of murder is multiplied exponentially)..
