The amusing thing, if you go back to the 2017 election period in France...then ask about all the ‘promises’ that Macron made in various speeches....they all lead back to some nationalism ‘plate’.
If they held an election today? If the choice is strictly Macron and Le Pen, then Macron would win again. But if this were a totally open election with multiple parties, then I doubt if he’d get more than 20-percent of the national vote. Next election though? 2022.
What the leaders in Europe are doing is treason to their countries by definition. They are destroying there countries.
He called for a new era of science-built progress.
He also said we’ve always been at war with east Asia and that war is peace.

Hopefully, Macron will not favor France over the USA from now on in trade deals, defense, etc.
