Encouraging words. I think they revert to their childhood values when they get past the idealistic stage they need to be in in order to figure out what they want to do. Academia is right there to take advantage of them it’s up to parents I think to trust what they taught them early on then let them go throgh those stages.
I watched the clip. Snarky SNL comments aside, the young man made a sincere apology, not a Im sorry you feel that way type one that libs usually make. It was good to see.
And Rep. Crenshaw might be going places. Will be interesting to keep an eye on him.
My sentiments exactly.
one might even say - when they go low, we go high !!!!
I have never heard of Pete Davidson. He’s fooling himself with the “those that know me” line.
Weekend Update: Pete Davidson Apologizes to Lt. Com. Dan Crenshaw - SNL
FWIW, Pete Davidson's dad was a NYC fire fighter who was killed in 9/11.
Bravo.
This wounded veteran/politician,
was he deafened?
And one more question: Which party?
SNL died years ago with the lost cast of their original season. Frankly, would much rather sleep than to watch what is now touted as comedy entertainment
To each, his own.
Overall, a well done segment, especially letting LT Com Crenshaw give a salute to American veterans. Pete Davidson, whom I had never heard of before his insult blew up, looked like a normal man in the picture they chose to use in the skit. That part was cringe inducing.
Wow. Can’t believe they had him on.
Crenshaw is a Republican. I am sure Davidson is a Socialist. SNL is beyond repair now.
Davidson was sincerely apologetic, saying, In what Im sure was a huge shock for people who know me, I made a bad choice last week.
Sincere apologies don’t include sarcasm. His statement was a way of dismissing the whole thing as just routine for him, just his usual “bad choice”. It indicates no intention to stop making bad choices. Proper options: End his career as a clown now; six year hitch in North Korean Army; massive whipping since he is just a child; all of the above.
That was a great apology.
Eye see what you did there!
I was on my first kid, second house, and approaching executive status in my career.
My daughter is 25. She is still on my health insurance.
I love her, but shake my head at some life decisions.
My other daughter has a career, marriedto a USAR Captwho was just deployed for a yearand who is a state cop at home.
Same experiences growing up. Same parents. Go figure.
I love them both.
Really classy of you. The guy actually apologizes and you are still bitching about it.
Ok there Dr. Freud
