Sessions was a mixed bag. He did a number of good things as others in the thread have noted.
But two major failures were in the area of upholding the rule of law and investigating and prosecuting partisan government corruption.
The reason a mob was emboldened to go to Tucker Carlson’s home was because the Department of Justice has neglected to uphold the civil rights of the victims of antifa and BLM.
Authorities in places like Oakland and Charlottesville protect and enable antifa rioters and the DOJ has done nothing to protect the civil rights of their victims.
Undoubtedly it is because the victims are considered ‘icky’ white nationalists or some other characterization not in the view of the DOJ worthy of having civil rights.
Also, the DOJ failed spectacularly in prosecuting the rioters in DC following the Trump inauguration. They ended up with numerous acquittals and had to drop charges against many others. By overcharging some who were just bystanders they actually engendered sympathy for other actual rioters. It also raises the question as to whether it is possible to get jury verdicts against either leftwing rioters or even corrupt leftwing government officials from juries in Washington DC which voted 96% for Hillary and where radical opinions are widespread.
And of course, not to mention the recusal which was ridiculously sweeping and premature and allowed the deep state to start or continue fraudulent investigations against Trump people for corrupt political purposes.
