True - I’m more courteous and polite because I don’t want to escalate any situation that doesn’t need to take a serious turn for the worse...pisses me off at how many talk like they’re aching for the “opportunity” to end a life....you’ve likely seen a few of them over your time keeping us in the know about most things guns...
Nice Highpower.
“You can ignore reality, but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.”
“....People who thing like an armed person look at the world differently than people who have made the decision to be unarmed....”
Exactly. They tend to avoid crowds as much as possible. They’re aways aware of the surroundings (situational awareness). They’re polite and go out of their way to avoid any trouble or a fight if at all possible. They stay away from places that trouble and fights may regularly occur.
However, on the other side of that coin...don’t screw with em. They will definitely defend themselves and their loved ones.
She’s holding a Browning Hi Power, she has excellent taste.
The unarmed are further divided into two groups - those who choose to be unarmed and leave it at that, and those that seek to disarm those who are armed, making the naive claim that doing such would somehow eliminate violence, as we saw in this column.
So true.
As I write this post, my S&W 357, is in a drawer within inches, and a loaded 22 rifle, with bird-shot sits within 5 feet of my reach.
On every floor of my house, I have located a loaded weapon, and when I leave my home, at least one loaded weapon is with me.
I have no fear because I live in a 'safe neighborhood', nor am I hunting a bad guy to shoot, but I will not go to my death, begging for one more moment of life.
A trained, armed person has very little anxiety when walking into a ________ .
Yea, though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil...
You still must accept in the Lord's Prayer the phrase, "Thy will be done", and then you can calmly face it, what ever 'it' is.
If you are a non-believer, I'm sorry for you, you gotta handle it yourself.
Yes. I do not have CC, but I think like an armed person.
I’ve always been partial to this quote of his:
The main foundations of every state, new states as well as ancient or composite ones, are good laws and good arms - you cannot have good laws without good arms, and where there are good arms, good laws inevitably follow.
Niccolo Machiavelli
BTW, you’ve been doing great on the radio with Bill Frady every week. I look forward to the times when you two are on the air.
As in "Situational Awareness".
This situation would not have happened to Us in Our Home. First if someone made it into the house uninvited and unarmed at minimum they will be Commanded to get on the floor face down, arms out, knees bent, feet up in the air with ankles crossed and Stay that way or I will shoot them. PD will be called and kept on the phone until Officer(s) arrive and I hear over the Radio from Dispatch to Officer(s) that I and My Wife are standing and I have intruder(s) on the floor and I am armed. I will make verbal contact with the Officer(s) at My door and instruct on Our location and give them directions through the house if they cannot put eyes on Us from the entry door. I will tell them that I am going to put My Firearm on the floor once I know they can cover the intruder. Ill move out of the way so they can handcuff the intruder.
If the intruder is armed when they break in then I will shoot until the threat is no longer a threat. Then make the phone call to PD and stay on the phone until Officer(s) arrive and the door will be open for them and I hear Dispatch and Officer(s) exchange the situation and My Wife and My positions and that of the intruder body. I will have My Firearm put away by then.

The Driveway from the Office and from the Living Room the Side Yard to watch cats and Squirrels. The Girls live a very cushy Life and They know it. BTW The Girls are a 70 pound Boxer thats all muscle and a 105 pound Cane Corso Italian Mastiff.
There is no way that if an intruder broke in and got back out and, out of My sight that We would sit down in front of a window and be a target. I dont understand why the two guys in the Article did that. Thats just stupid, and it makes no sense to Me.
In the Article it says the intruder was a neighbor next door and he was gone getting the AR long enough for the guy at work to drive home ? WTF !? Does he work 2 blocks away from his home ?
Did they know this neighbor at all or just by sight from seeing him in the driveway taking out the trash or see him mowing the lawn.
Were the 2 guys (Victims) a couple and the neighbor involved, wanting to be involved or just hate them for being a couple ? Or what ?
