I have to restrain myself from losing hope. I am coming to the uncomfortable conclusion that “United” States no longer defines our national identity, perhaps permanently. This is most worrisome. We’ve always been a nation of roiling political debate - that’s what sparked the Great Experiment of America, obviously. We even survived an internecine shooting war. But I believe we have now reached an event horizon for which most Americans are wholly unprepared. Leftists and fascists are gaining influence. Constitutionalism is losing ground. The battle lines are gaining definition. If this continues unabated, without a course reversal, peaceful coexistence will no longer be possible - leaving only devolution and un-society. Approaching us is a Jeffersonian moment at which the “tree of liberty must be watered, wiith the blood of tyrants and patriots.”
IMO CWII is guaranteed now and actually, may have started Tuesday.
