Oh yes, because computers can NEVER be defrauded.
With the right design and precautions, an electronic machine can be made far more secure than paper ballots. One important factor is that the vote tally would be available instantly. There wouldn’t be time for someone to see how the vote turned out on TV that night and then adjust their precinct’s totals accordingly the next day to make up for it. If any precinct delayed submitting their vote the forensics on their machine could be investigated.
Then there are all the other benefits. No one has to deal with “interpreting” a vote that was mismarked by human hands in some way.
