We mustn't get overconfident. President Trump got elected by winning Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. All three of those states turned blue on Tuesday.
And also MN went bluer than hardly anyone expected. It’s likely off the table again for 2020, as is CO, NV, and VA.
“All three of those states turned blue on Tuesday.”
They voted blue this time, because of redistricting and the goodies promised by Democrats.
The key thing is that Trump has not given them a reason to go back to being blue. They voted for him based on his promises, and Trump has kept many (particularly judges), and plans to do his damn best to keep the remaining ones (the Wall, being at the top).
But, of course, I agree. The Dems, probably TODAY, are working with huge amounts of money to see what makes these independent voters tick...and will try to promise whatever is needed to bring them back.
One thing though - the Illegal count in these states is still relatively small and black voters are also not that numerous (and already match, or exceed, white turnout)...so they really don’t have much to draw from.
We had a presidential election on Tuesday? Who won? Because I didn’t hear of one
Sarcasm aside
Can’t compare lousy run of the mill boring republican candidates to President Trump, you just can’t
The moderates/independents don’t care about party politics and many people don’t bother with non presidential races. So the democrats flipped 26-27 house seats last Tuesday, big deal. That doesn’t mean anything at this point.
