Cal Fire: Entire town of Paradise ‘wiped out’ by Butte County wildfire
PARADISE (AP/KRON) - A Cal Fire captain says the Northern California town of Paradise was wiped out by the Butte County wildfire.
Thousands of structures have been destroyed in the Camp Fire. The fire has charred 20,000 acres and is 0 percent contained.
A fire official says Paradise has been “pretty much” destroyed.
CalFire Capt. Scott McLean says a wind-whipped wildfire destroyed thousands of structures but he said they won’t have an exact count until they can get into the area.
