Democratic legal teams kicked into action Thursday in Florida, demanding a recount they insist will ultimately declare Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson the winner and with defeated Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum hedging his concession.
Mr. Nelson had already signaled his intention to fight the results, but Mr. Gillum’s surprise announcement further roils the electoral waters in the Sunshine State.
Republican former Rep. Ron DeSantis, a strong ally of President Trump, beat Mr. Gillum, the left-wing mayor of Tallahassee, in the unofficial results and Mr. Gillum conceded shortly before midnight last Tuesday.
But in a brief statement Thursday, he appeared to waffle on that.
“On Tuesday night, the Gillum for Governor campaign operated with the best information available about the number of outstanding ballots left to count,” the statement read. “Since that time, it has become clear there are many more uncounted ballots than was originally reported. Our campaign, along with our attorney Barry Richard, is monitoring the situation closely and is ready for an outcome, including a state-mandated recount.”
The statement provided no information on the size or location of these “uncounted ballots,” but they echoed claims made Thursday morning in a conference call the Nelson campaign arranged with Marc Elias, an election lawyer with the powerhouse Democratic firm of Perkins Coie.

The recount is for the Scott-Nelson race, DeSantis beat Gillum by more than statute defined percentage thus no recount. It’s just political posturing by the backers of empty suit Gillum, seeing if they can get anywhere. Pam Bondi needs to tell them that DeSantis won, no recount is necessary nor legally required so STFU. The democrats attempt to deligitimize DeSantis. A Florida version of what the democrats and RINO did and have been doing to President Trump.
The final count’s not done and certified yet, so there is still a chance an automatic recount could be triggered for governor.

Sorry, concession is not something you can “take back”.
That is why it isn’t made lightly, except for democrats.
True, Gillum is posturing to where if the final count certified is not within the automatic recall margin he can try to deligitimize DeSantis.

The VRS shows 716K votes cast, 707K have been tabulated.
I think that there are about 9k more votes to count in Broward.
Palm beach is the only other county showing with outstanding VBM ballots. Can’t figure out Palm’s VRS code to figure out how many are actually outstanding.
I am not sure where Bay has outstanding ballots, because they have reported 100% in the count.
And the majority of time they win while we put our tails between our legs and cower in the corner!! This is also happening in AZ and I truly believe Montana was stolen too with fraudulent votes!!

RoseofTexas, every election that the Democrats “win” they do so by cheating and fraud, a/k/a stealing. They are like their father Satan, lying, murdering, stealing ,and creating chaos is all they know.
Would make it close but the De Santis and Scott still win.
A recount wouldn’t change the outcome.
I tracked the results pretty closely leading up to Tuesday, and I am 99.9% sure Palm Beach does not have such a VRS site. I don’t think Palm Beach uses them (VR Systems) as an election software vendor.
I’ll take a delegitimized win over a legitimate loss.
Apparently, the Elections worker who was caught, tried, and CONVICTED of messing with ballots two years ago is involved in this right now. HOW is it that she’s still working in elections and touching / “counting” ballots?
Trump had better send a sh!tload of Federal Attorneys down there to TCB before this gets out of hand — ASAP!
And what have Scott, Bondi, et al., been doing the last few years to fix the broken system? “Nothing”, apparently.
And who knows about over/under votes. There may truly be no more votes to count.

Yes, that is correct, since they have no legal value in the first place. The certification of the election is independent of the reaction of any party. The loser can refuse to concede for eternity.
That might be right, because I’ve tried every variation of the county code that I could think of, and nothing works.
It’s strange because most of the Florida Counties have it.
