Agree, this benefits Trump (as it did for his predecessors) as he can now run 2020 campaign on “Blame Nancy and the Dems” when his agenda is tanked. Speaker Ryan was a complete failure but hard for Trump to blame his own party for failing to pass what is needed.
It will be interesting to see if Trump tacks left to compromise (as Clinton did with Newt to pass welfare reform) or simply slams the House at every opportunity. Stay tuned.
Not a chance. He’ll tack right, especially on the wall. Caravan is still out there, and both right and left fear it. (as an example).
