Interesting comment. We have lived in Iowa for a little over 2 years, and I’m still trying to figure this state out. Why do you suppose the congressional seats flipped from R to D? I’m glad King held on.

Eastern Iowa has manufacturing and trade unions and a high proportion of Catholics, who all lean Democrat. For a Dem to win statewide, eastern Iowa has to come through big for the candidate.

Blum in northeast Iowa was against the grain: A Tea Party type in a Dem/RINO district.

David Young’s CD 3 is always going to be a swing district with close races either way if candidates are good.

been in NE iowa now for 11 years.

this state is schizophrenic, politically. like a box of chocolates.

there is no rhyme nor reason for the federal election stuff from cycle to cycle.

good guys hold gov and both sides of state legislature. that is good. the last commie gov we had was chet culver...typical leftie idiot.
