Biggest loser at midterms? Barack Obama
American Thinker ^ | 11/07/2018 | Monica Showalter

The midterms weren't a blue wave, but they weren't shark fin soup for Republicans either, given that they lost the House by a small margin.

That said, the big loser who stands out here is hard-campaigning President Obama, the guy who thought he was the star of the Democratic Party and who, throwing the tradition of former presidents staying aloof from politics out the window, campaigned hard, long, and loud, for Democrats in this midterm. Turns out the ones he fought the hardest for lost.

Now he stands exposed as politically irrelevant, powerless, an embarrassment. Sorry 'bout that legacy thing, Barry-O.

First, he did some easy ones and those candidates marched right through, Obama or no Obama:

Tim Kaine of Virginia and Joe Manchin of West Virginia for the Senate, Jennifer Wexton of Virginia for the House. J.B. Pritzker for the Illinois governorship. A couple of minor leaguers for the House in Illinois as tag-alongs.

Kaine and Pritzker, given their ties to the Obama administration, were probably favors repaid, and they ran in blue states, anyway, as did the Illinois pickups. Manchin, meanwhile, was primarily re-elected on his Kavanaugh vote, so Obama was likely irrelevant.

But then there were the midterm campaigns that weren't gimmes, some very high profile, and high media-exposure ones: Joe Donnelly of Indiana for Senate. Bill Nelson of Florida for Senate. Andrew Gillum of Florida for governor. Stacey Abrams of Georgia for governor.

Those were the ones Obama went hoarse campaigning for, yelling and waving his arms, voice cracking, speeches described as fiery, telling voters to vote for these guys or die. With Gillum in particular, racial appeals were a factor and Obama's presence was supposed to help. Gillum had a big media buildup about being a first black governor of Florida

I’m sorry, the biggest loser is the American People.

I suspect the Dem Party is getting ready to pull the flush handle on both the Clintons and Obamas.

They are dead weight, yesterday’s news. Pulling the party down as they struggle to find relevance.

Rinos and Never Trumpers were the losers, they all retired, and Paul Ryan is gone.

Yes, but for the wrong reasons.

Imagine those clowns getting shafted for not being far enough LEFT.

Close margin of D win in House and ridding of a lot of GOPe & RINOs may not be so bad, as least now the President doesn’t HAVE to play nice with the House ‘leadership’ he KNOWS he doesn’t have them on his side UNLESS, of course he pulls an LBJ....

The difference being what LBJ had on his ‘esteemed colleagues’ was learned FIRST hand, harder to dismiss something if the ‘accuser’ was in it with you and has the REAL HARD FACTS.

The world turns...folks. Democrat Party failures and solidly confirmed “POLITICAL HAS-BEENS” now include, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama, Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, Oprah Winfrey, etc.

Shucks these butt heads could not get anyone elected to be the local dog catcher!!! I mean, seriously, Obama needs to find a new day job, because as being Chief Campaigner for the Democrat Party is not his cup of tea...to say the least!!! Case closed!!!

We need Jim Jordan, who is articulate and patriotic. We will get McCarthy, who is a lightweight RINO, I am afraid.

2010 Obama: -63
1994 Clinton: -52
1958: Eisenhower: -48
1974 Ford (Nixon): -48
1966 Johnson: -47
1946 Truman: -45
2018 Trump: -34
2006 Bush: -30
1950 Truman: -29
1984 Reagan: -26

Notice the biggest mid-term losers... Clinton and Obama. They’re the reason Republicans have controlled congress, or have at least split congress since 1994. Before that Democrats had controlled congress for a couple of generations.

The Kenyanesian Usurper should be in Gitmo..

The only reason he isn’t is there is no one in the District of Corruption to prosecute him that was not complicit in violating the Constitution.

I don’t know if they are/hope they are not smart enough to flush away 0bamas and Clintons. If they come out with Pelosi and Waters as “leaders” of their party, we can hope they won’t go all in for a new image, new “heroes”....

Paul Ryan is the #1 reason the GOP lost the House.

Thank God he’s gone.

Let’s hope Jim Jordan becomes Minority leader - McCarthy is just another Lyin’ Ryan.

Biggest loser was the deep state. The America People won last night. The party label never ever told us much.

Kevin has been sucking up to Trump big time of late. But, McCarthy is a dullard who lacks a fighting spirit. Sorry, he’s gonna win.....

The Deep State got revenge for Dave Brat saving the country from amnesty in June of 2014 by defeating him with a CIA candidate.
The Boehner, Ryan, Cantor cabal had planned to pass Rubio’s Gang of Amnesty the day after Cantor’s primary, ending the Republic as we knew it.
They were so shocked Cantor lost that they never took it up and it died at the end of 2014.
