Trump: Candidates that did not embrace me can 'say goodbye'

President Trump suggested early Wednesday that Republican candidates who did not embrace him in the midterm elections lost as a result, calling the final outcome a "very Big Win" despite the GOP losing control of the House and several governorships.

"Those that worked with me in this incredible Midterm Election, embracing certain policies and principles, did very well. Those that did not, say goodbye!" Trump tweeted.

"Yesterday was such a very Big Win, and all under the pressure of a Nasty and Hostile Media!" he added.

Paul Ryan and all the Boehner Boys (including defeated Amnesty pusher Kevin Yoder of KS) - GONE!

Jeff Flake - GONE!

Bob Corker - GONE!

John McCain - DEAD!

The democrats control the House but the caucuses of both the House and Senate will be more conservative, not more moderate-liberal (Romney will have to go-along, but that's what he does best).

This will be a very different two years.

What is the ultimate split in THe House going to be? What does it look like? Dems will have a majority of about 5 or so?

Yes, as I understand it, a very tight margin.

They can try impeachment, but it will be a non-starter with such a small majority.

Yes, I’m shedding no tears over Walker. He was a good governor but two terms is enough. He should have run for the senate. But maybe didn’t want it.

And that’s not counting the 40 “retirements” in the GOP house so that they “can spend more time with their family” or whatever.. err, meaning: get away from a GOP that is going to be led by Trump

Some states need to win in the Post-Trump world. WI lost in part due to voter fatigue with Walker, but in large part due to Ryan and his anti Trumpism. Same with some of the other losses. States like Ohio had a sweep because they knew how to use what Trump did to win.

Trump knows how to win, the rest of the GOP needs to figure that out also.

Nobody is really talking about Obama. But he campaigned in Florida, Georgia, Texas, Missouri, and Indiana.

And all those statewide races went RED.

Thanks Obama!!

Also, the Democrats will overplay as they always do and I think they will lose the house in due time. Now we can work on running real candidates that support our President’s agenda instead of all these useless Rino’s. We have to think strategically.

I’m for Trump not the Repukes. That being the case if the following all holds this is a big win. Florida goes GOP to big Trump supporter. Corker gone and replaced by a solid Trump supporter. Flake gone and replaced but a much more friendly Trump girl who was more than. Happy to campaign hard with him. Brown in Ohio while not a vote for Trump is better than having a faux Repukes. Brown supports Trump majorly on trade and is often seen working with him. Manchin will still work with Trump so while it would have been a nice pickup it’s still acceptable. He voted for both Scotus picks.

So thrilled to see Mccaskill finally go down. Missouri woke up. If only we could get rid of Cleaver as well.

Yes, a better senate. And I am a YUGE Trump fan.

But to be honest, mostly those who lost didn’t embrace Trump because they were in districts (like mine) where suburban and urban women, especially, are political idiots and Trump is very unpopular. Correlation is not causation.

I am hoping that Scott Walker and John James get offered positions in Trumps administration. Both good men.

Thanks...all I see so far is >>>
Dems 219
Republicans 193
So this leaves 23 seats missing

Obviously Dems took the House but by what margin? Looks like results still are coming in. My guess is Dems have the House by at most 7-10 seats

Get ready for that insane person Adam Schiff to start biting and squawking as he heads up House Intel Committee.

It’ll be interesting how johnny-on-the-spot Trump will be when some of these governors request help for their states.

Some FReepers may not like it, but this was the best time to clean house and move on though the house had to be given up.
