Give me a single example of a Republican Senator who has voted for Democrats for leadership positions, and I will grant your point. But there aren’t any such examples. Even the worst RINOs of the past—guys with 100% ADA ratings and 0% ACU ratings—voted with Republicans when it came to committee chairmanships and other leadership positions.
There have been a few who switched to the Democratic Party (just like there were many Democrats who switched to the Republican Party in the 1980s), but nobody gets elected as a Republican, stays a Republican, but caucuses with the Democrats. It has never happened.
I’ll take as many RINO Senators from MA, CT, MD, CA, OR, WA, IL, etc as I can get. They will at least vote with you on leadership and control of the Senate. The alternative is a Democrat who votes against you on both legislation and on procedural issues.
No brainer.
yes, agree, that’s how power works in Senate and House-this let’s get rid of Rinos stuff just get you Dems in power
But if they don’t vote with you on the agenda then who cares? Take my idiots Corker and Alexander. Oops, no more Corker tonight.
