The Huron Daily Tribune has issued a statement Monday evening after the newsroom management heard a voicemail left by one of its staff writers to Republican U.S. Sen. Candidate John James. In the voicemail, Brenda Battel requests an interview with James, who is running against Incumbent Debbie Stabenow. Battel then unsuccessfully disconnects the phone, and is heard saying inappropriate comments about the candidate and the race. "I have listened to the voicemail left by Brenda Battel to Mr. James' campaign, and find no reason to defend this behavior," said Kate Hessling, editor of the Huron Daily Tribune. "Brenda Battel's employment has been immediately terminated.
"The Huron Daily Tribune sincerely apologizes to Mr. James and to the public. These statements do not represent the views of the Tribune as a whole, nor do they reflect the actions of a responsible journalist."
Has CNN given her her own nightly show yet?
It’s probably safe to assume fired brenda battel didn’t vote for Mr. James.
Switch things around and pretend John James was a democrat and someone said something like that. Dat be RAAYCISS!!!!!!

LIAR! The sin here is your employee getting caught publicly announcing your paper’s real feelings about a Black Republican.
Notice the rag doesn’t inform readers exactly what their erstwhile presstitute said to get her happy heinie fired.
Here, drop Brenda an e-mail and let her know just how “sympathetic” you are about her dismissal:
No pictures please!

LOL!!
Battel axed!
Here’s the response I got from the Editor of the Huron Daily Tribune:
Mr. XXXX,
I respectfully disagree with you. The language and conduct displayed
yesterday were entirely against our industry¹s principals our our newsroom
code of conduct. That is why this staff writer was fired last night.

I have noticed that although you fired Battel for her disgraceful
conduct, you have yet to tell your readers why you did it. So I am left
to conclude that her only “real sin” was getting caught! shame on you for
suborning this kind of behavior. Hopefully, social media will let your
readers know that in reality, you are complicit in what she did. I can
tell you that this is well spread across the internet.
