Tusk says Poland risks following UK out of EU

European Council President Donald Tusk urged his fellow Poles on Monday to “come to their senses” over Poland’s place within the EU, saying it could otherwise end up following Britain’s example and tumble out of the bloc.

Tusk, a centrist who served as Polish prime minister from 2007 to 2014, is a strong critic of the ruling euroskeptic Law and Justice party (PiS) in Warsaw, which has often clashed with Brussels over immigration, the rule of law and other issues.

Tusk, who chairs EU summits, said that in 2016 Britain’s then-prime minister David Cameron had not intended to take his country out of the bloc when he called a referendum, adding that Poland too could exit as a result of political miscalculations.

“It does not matter to me whether (PiS leader) Jaroslaw Kaczynski plans to leave the EU or just initiates some processes that lead to that outcome,” Tusk told reporters during a visit to Warsaw.

“The issue is that Cameron also had no plan to take the UK out of the EU. And the will (among member states) to keep Poland inside the EU is smaller than the will to keep the UK in it. This issue is incredibly serious; the risk is deadly serious. I want everybody to come to their senses” …

Oh, “deadly serious”? Something tells me that sellouts like Tusk won’t be listened to here.

Poland should run, not walk, out of the EU.

Yeah, it’s a real bitch when the little people think THEY are in charge and have a say. The ingrates didn’t respect that Cameron was merely posturing politically for some lesser goal.

After the Eu collapses we should move the UN Headquarters to Brussels since the real estate there will be cheap and they can use some of the former workers from the EU to help dismantle the UN.

Should move the UN HQ to somewhere in the middle of the Congo.

Paraphrasing Churchill: “Imagine a Golden Curtain of Christian sovereign nations, from the Baltic to the Adriatic, separating the western Eurabians from the Neo-Russian Empire.”

I was in Poland recently. You wouldn’t believe all the EU-funded development. Construction projects everywhere.

Poland has strategic considerations that argue in favor of remaining in the EU while keeping a speedy exit as an open possibility. Friendly economic and political ties with Germany and the rest of Europe greatly strengthen Poland's position against a hostile and aggressive Russia. Yet Poland's domestic politics virtually prohibit accepting Muslim migrants, the EU's most liberal social policies, and too much German bossiness.

Poland's circumstances thus more or less make her like a dissatisfied spouse who stays in a troubled marriage because of the big house, luxury car, and spending cash, while also keeping a set of bags packed for leverage and in case the marriage becomes untenable. Eventually, of course, within two or three decades, Germany will suffer civil disorder because of a Muslim insurgency, while Russia unravels due to its economic and demographic decline. It has been reported that Polish General Staff contingency planning includes the possibility of having to battle Muslims in Germany equipped with modern Leopard tanks. For now, Poland prefers to stay in the EU and on reasonable terms with Germany.

"Poland should run, not walk, out of the EU"

...and take the rest of SANE EUROPE with her!

Europe has been trying to commit suicide for a long time. Maybe this time she'll succeed. America is in no mood to send her sons--yet again--to die trying to save Europe from her latest insanity. Sane Europe must get out of there while it's still possible.

When the Polish government joined the EU for what seemed to be good economic reason, they didn't realized it would end up with German demands for Lebensraum (for Muslims).

Poland is the largest net recipient of EU monies. I doubt that they’d be willing to pay back the 200+ billion euros they’ve received since joining in 2004...
