Actually, unwittingly Ryan just made BOTH the economy and the caravan front and center.

Trump played him big time. No wonder Ryan and Romney lost. They are strategic amateurs. Remember Romney deciding that pushing Benghazi was not the way to go? Remember them deciding that rope-a-dope the final month was a good strategy?

They had no intention of winning.
