I thought the accusers were all under oath.

No consequences for lying?

. . . conflating it with other claims that lawmakers have said were credible

The "lawmakers" in question were never "credible" themselves.

“while conflating it with other claims that lawmakers have said were credible.”

He did no such thing, Mr Pinocchio. He did suggest, however, that the standard for “credibility”, without evidence or corroboration, that people like this author use, is cruelly, unjustifiably, dishonestly low.

No, this wasn’t someone who accused him, this was someone who claimed to be a particular “Jane Doe” who had accused him. The Jane Doe has not been identified, and this woman was forced to admit she lied about it having been she. The allegation by the Jane Doe has not been withdrawn, true or false.

Rush had an interesting take on the Dems and the accuser last week.

If they truly thought these women were truthful they would still be harping on it.

“No consequences for lying?”

If we had an Attorney General, yes. Sadly we have Jefferson Beauregard Sessions.

So, no. There will be no consequences. Therefore it will happen again.

And you can lay the next smear job right at the feet of Jefferson Beauregard Sessions.

From the article:
On Sunday, Trump seized on the referral of Munro-Leighton's claim while conflating it with other claims that lawmakers have said were credible.

Jeez, Brett, give it up, you are embarrassing yourself!

There is not a thing questionable or improper about Trump referring to the four claims as being similar: there wasn't the slightest bit of evidence to corroborate any of them. I.e., there was no reason at the time to take action on any of the claims.

New ball game if it becomes apparent that any of the remaining three claimants lied to the Senate, as one just did. The three others are yet twisting in the wind.

Yes. The last thing they want is for Dr. Fraud to go under oath, or be deposed.

They are waiting to see if they gain the House. They won’t.

Here is the implication: Dems don't care if you and I are locked up for the rest of our lives on cases built on a LIE.

THAT should be the message the GOP goes with.

Nobody in a position of office on the Republican side is saying this at all. What the hell are they afraid of? It’s almost like they are all compromised by the Deep State. I’m so thankful we have a president like Trump as he is one of the only ones calling out the BS.

Exactly as I said. We still do not know who wrote the “Oceanside” letter, or if it has any validity.

All we know is that someone claimed to have written it and that person, Munro-Leighton now admits she did not write it.

FReepers interested in the Judiciary Committee report can find it here:

https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/2018-11-02%20Kavanaugh%20Report.pdf

It’s 414 pages long. I read about the first 40 and found it to be thorough and interesting.
