A photo has emerged showing Democrat Congressional candidate George Scott (PA-10) pointing a gun at an American soldier in what was allegedly a prank about handling captives.
According to Penn Live, Scott indicated that pointing the gun at the soldiers head was to produce what was intended as a comic image.
Scott indicates the photo of him pointing a gun at a fellow soldier was taken in 1989 or 1990, near [the] completion of Operation Just Cause in Panama.

Absolute statements are ALMOST always wrong. I can think of many examples where pointing a loaded weapon at someone is a matter of survival.
Looks like he has his booger hook on the trigger too!
Not sure what point you are trying to make, but are you familiar with the phrase “ill-disciplined troops”?
Gee, the dims are currently raking Kemp (R-GA) over the coals over a tv ad in which he was cleaning his shotgun while having a nice chat with one of his beautiful daughter’s potential suitors. My daughter’s beaus got the same “talk”. Just to imply that whatever you do to her, I’m going to do to you.
Its a dumb joke but with him running for congress is a bad optics
Yeah, too bad it wasnt a pic of him at a high school party, in his HS yearbook.
Then a string of females could claim (falsely) that they were assaulted by him.
That wouldve DEFINITELY ended his run.

His finger’s on the trigger!
Idiot.
“... And pointing a loaded weapon at anyone is stupid...”
Pointing a weapon PERIOD, at anyone is stupid...unless you are defending yourself and have no problem squeezing the trigger if need be....
So you’ve never been around young troops while you were in the service?
Of course. That goes without saying at a conservative site -we're all Second Amendment people here... But this picture? No. Two men clowning around with a gun is NOT in that category.
Are you saying clowning around with loaded guns - pointing them at fellow soldiers - is the norm? Really?
No. What I said was young soldiers do stupid things.
Stupid things include the Barracks Rats on Fort Bragg out parasailing across the flooded basketball court during this past hurricane.
Tell me again where you served in the military?
After that whole thing about the scumbag Marxist at West Point, I look at anything like that suspiciously!
Yep. When I was growing up, the punishment for any gun safety infraction was a year without touching firearms. None of the kids in my family ever broke our Dad's strict rules. I'm disgusted when people do "dumb stuff" because they are playing around with guns. You should know better, or you shouldn't touch guns.
Plenty of pictures of war trophies - even today.
Whole flood of them back when we first took Iraq.
Urgent Fury and Just Cause were interesting Operations in the 1980s. Lots of young troops with no CIBs went in and kicked ass. Lot of very happy troops when things started to settle down.
As I said young troops do stupid things.
Oh, I understand that completely.
