When Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton we were warned it would be the beginning of the end of our economy. On the day of the election, on MSNBC the gang that can’t think straight swore electing Trump would be the equivalent of signing our own death warrant. “If the unlikely event happens and Trump wins, you will see a market crash of historic proportions,” said Steve Rattner, who was Obama’s “car czar.”

Arrest Rattner and cane him. Then, cane his wife for not telling him to keep his mouth shout. You would see a different universe if I were in power. I have had all of these people I can tolerate. Write that down in your diary.

There was a time when democrats were patriotic and loved this country. i.e. Kennedy, Truman, etc. Now it is important that we reject this party in all it’s forms. Yes some democrats like Manchin McCaskill, Donelly are trying to portray a moderate image. But they, too, will vote the way Pelosi and Schumer dictate. I wouldn’t vote for a Democrat dogcatcher, now. They would let feral dogs in your neighborhood and refuse to send them to the pound!

The lack of truth, the lack of vision, and the lack of message doesn’t seem like much of an impediment, if the polls are to be believed.

Why would the polls be believed?

Is hatred enough to overcome reality?

Yes, and I got relatives to prove it.

They went insane when President Trump won and have not found their way back to sanity yet. They believe all the lies because they want to believe them.

Election years during a good republican economy the leftist always convinces themselves that if the economy is good under republican leadership that of course they can make it better being the geniuses that they are and all...

Even Joe Biden (aka Birdbrain) has said this is the most important midterm election in history.

Under normal circumstances, Republicans...

If Machiavelli is the undergraduate course in politics, the British 3-episode version of House of Cards with Ian Richardson is the graduate course. People give politicians power to use to get something done for them.

After two years most folks, most Republicans anyway, do nothing with their power for the People. And if it were not for Trump they would not have this time either.

But they did. And as much as all of us despise our personal Pubbie congresscritter,we agree that Trump has moved our country in a very positive direction and needs Republicans to continue to do so, as much as we despise the lot of them.

So, yeah, it's not a usual mid-term because the party in power, willy-nilly, did something for a change.

Steve Rattner, who was Obama’s “car czar.”

Cash for clunkers. That says it all. How much capital value did we destroy in that maneuver?

I have been quietly optimistic. But now, with more blacks turning conservative, the walkaway movement and the failure of the left to get enough illegals across the border to vote - I think it may very well be a bloodbath, not just a red wave. I may just watch some tv on election night to enjoy the meltdowns.

“Those are the only ads I would run, day after day just put an image of Pelosi on the yv screen.”

Denver Riggleman, running to replace Tom Garrett in Virginia’s 5th district, has been doing just that.

Ads show Nasty Nan and his opponent Leslie Cockburn (pronounces it Coburn, guess shes tired of the jokes) and explain how Cockburn is more aligned with Nasty Nan than Virginians.

Riggleman is a native Virginian, former Air Force and owns Silverback Distillery.
http://www.sbdistillery.com

Cockburn is a California transplant and the mother of actress Olivia Wilde.

Voting for Riggleman is a no brainer.

One Democrat is airing an ad that a congressman bought a $5 million dollar yacht (more power to him. Wish I could buy a 2 million yacht) the day President Trump signed the tax cuts. I guess the Dem is jealous...😀

I live how he makes it seem like the Republicans took over and put in their policies and that fixed everything. Trump fixed things inspite of opposition from both parties. Everyone condemn him for how he has dealt economically with just about every country. They warned him the uncertainty and retaliation would kill jobs at home. He has pushed forward against those who wanted status quo which was just about everyone in government. Truth be told the Repukes have done precious little to help Trump. Slowing price increases in healthcare is due to Trump’s work around because Congress wouldn’t act. Troops at the border is a work around because Congress won’t act. Tarrifs are in place because Congress can’t act. If any other Repuke leader was President nothing would have changed except for around the edges.

Since Clinton: How many midterms were won by the Republicans vs the dems? This has been avoided as part of the discussion.

I think Republicans won 5 out of the last 6 midterms.
That is the real trend.

Trump fixed things in spite of opposition from both parties.

This is correct. But over the past two years President Trump has worked hard to get the Republican Party under control and he has succeeded in most cases. He has managed to ditch Ryan, McCain died nd was replaced by a team player. McConnel and even Lindsay Graham are now behind the President. If Republicans keep the House and Senate, President Trump should be able to make much greater progress than even what he has accomplished in the last two years. If Democrats take the house, it will be much more difficult for him to do anything and he will face constant harassment.

Didn't Bush Jr enjoy a gain in the House at his first midterms? If he could do it, President Trump will do it.
