Pollster Frank Luntz on Hungry Howie said he sees no predictive value in polling this time around. Luntz was amazed at what was happening with polling.

Saw MR. Discount Carpet for hair in that segment.

To me all these gurus are just trying to stay relevant, and know there is a lot of rigging/slanting going on so they hedge their bets by acting informed but not quite enough so they keep their subscribers / fools who use them as consultants.

Frankly, I am amazed what is happening with the press/media in general. We all know they’ve been biased for decades but the last couple of years have been unprecedented.

The same bias is reflected in their polling.

So, two years ago, almost ALL of them got it wrong—dead wrong.

Have you seen any who apologized and said they’re going to change things and make their polling techniques more accurate to reflect the mistakes they made? ANY lessons learned?

NO.

Nothing has changed from what I can see. The same sample sizes. The same over polling of democrats as a percentage. Not tracking people who don’t have fixed phones, or worse, using online polls with people who have an agenda as the baseline or reasons to take the online poll, rather than completely random.

Everything about polling that stank and was wrong in 2016 stinks and is wrong now.
