Millions of Americans will be barred from casting ballots in Tuesdays crucial midterm elections due to electoral rules at the state level, which effectively exclude many minority voters to the detriment of Democrats. [ ]
Nearly six million Americans are excluded from voting because they are imprisoned, on parole or awaiting sentencing.
African Americans, who are overrepresented in the US penal system, are four times more likely to be unable to vote than the rest of the population, according to The Sentencing Project, a non-profit organization. [ ]
There is no national identity card in the United States. Instead, each state defines what documents can be used as identification at the polling station. And according to the American Civil Liberties Union, an influential civil rights organization, several states have imposed restrictive rules since 2010.
North Dakota has since 2016 required its residents to present a document with proof of a street address. But the state is home to thousands of Native Americans who live on reservations in rural areas with but a single post office box. They might be turned away at the ballot box, where Heidi Heitkamp a Democrat who was elected to the Senate in 2012 by just 3,000 votes is campaigning to keep her seat.

Commies always have the edge in propaganda and lies; they have that capability because they have no soul.
Sorry France. We’re busy. Call us back when you need us to rescue you again.
“Nearly six million Americans are excluded from voting because they are imprisoned, on parole or awaiting sentencing. “
How awful, indeed. All these “nice criminals” would be voting for the Democrats. What a shame that they are not allowed to vote. (/sarc)
Yep, this is a crisis in search of sane people who care.
Yes, there is a great repression. One must first get out of bed!
Now they whine providing proof youre a verified voter with acceptable ID is an imposition.
If youre too lazy to get an ID, you shouldnt be allowed to vote.
And states have the duty and every right to assure the integrity of their voting system.
It aint rocket science.
At least in FL, some people who did time for felonies can already have their voting rights restored. And in some cases even be granted CCP’s. It depends on what they were convicted of and how clean their records are after serving their sentences. Sure it’s a hassle, but it can be done.
Attn: Frog swine chiming in on our elections...
There is no Constitutional right to vote. The states can make whatever restrictions they want save sex, race and age.
Pure Stalinist Merde.
“Merde.”
ç’est vrai
Yes; Constitutional amendments only specify those attributes, plus non-payment of taxes (particularly poll taxes).
>>Nearly six million Americans are excluded from voting because they are imprisoned, on parole or awaiting sentencing.
how many non-violent felons are not permitted to own a firearm for self-defense?
AFP is upset that people IN PRISON cannot vote.
At least they do indicate that Democrats would be voted for.
Rules are hard.
So the solution is have no rules.
Great...Anarchy...
WTF evuh...
Back again with the “fake charges” that American Indians won’t be able to vote because they have no street addresses on the Reservation.
No wonder the French kept losing wars. They had no idea how to fight since Napoleon.
Indians are recognized as “sovereign nations” so many of the US laws do not apply ON THE RESERVATION. Since each Reservation keeps a ROSTER of its inhabitants (and those claiming Indian ancestry - like Fauxchohantas Warren), they are easily accountable to the voting registrars wherever they vote.
AFP is just like TASS, Pravda and Izvestia were during the Soviet Union dictatorship, only they don’t call themselves “reds”. However, their leftist ideology definitely makes them enemies of America.
No Sh*t!!!!
How about you address the every growing issues with some of your new residents, than talk smack about something you know nothing about.
Oh wait, you can’t do that, because you’re paralyzing fear of being the next Charlie Hebdo incident.
