I worked at a facility surrounded by a fence topped with three strands of inward leaning razor wire.

For anyone in reasonably good shape, it wasn’t a deterrent.
They would just toss a heavy jacket or something similar over it and vamoose.

Razor wire or just regular barbed wire? The three strands angled back is typically barbed wire. They didn’t have the angled brackets when I was a kid - but the three strands of barbed wire at the top of the fence was never a deterrent to us.

Heh - reminds me of working with a guy just a few years younger than me I suppose I was 28 and he was 23. We were out in the woods and came across a 8-foot tall chain-link fence (no barbed wire). “Okay - I’ll climb up, hand the gear up to me, climb over, and I’ll hand it back down.”

He looked at me dumbfounded. “How are we going to climb up?”

I couldn’t believe this guy had never climbed a chain-link fence! He did it. I think quietly he was pretty proud of himself.
