Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector arrested a group of Central American migrants after receiving a call for assistance from local police officers. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo South Station received a call from the Laredo Police Departments regarding a possible group of illegal aliens they encounter in a home near Slaughter Park. The agents responded to the location in south Laredo and found ten migrants who were detained by the local police, according to information obtained by Breitbart News from Laredo Sector Border Patrol officials.
The agents conducted an immigration interview with the ten migrants and learned they were all illegally present in the U.S. The agents identified the migrants as having traveled to the U.S. from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, officials stated.
Slaughter Park is located on Laredos south side just north of the Rio Grande River that separates Laredo, Texas, from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Border Patrol officials previously told Breitbart News that this is an area known for illegal border crossing activity.
During Fiscal Year 2018, Laredo Sector agents apprehended a total of 32,641 illegal aliens who crossed the border between ports of entry, according to the year-end Southwest Border Migration Report. This represents the third largest number of apprehensions of the nine southwestern border sectors.
Of those 32,641 migrants, 2,879 were unaccompanied minors and 597 were Family Unit Aliens, officials reported.
The Laredo Sector also led the nation in the apprehension of Bangladeshi nationals who were smuggled into the U.S. after they paid Mexican cartels to bring them across the border. The sector witnessed a 270 percent increase in the number of Bangladeshi nationals arrested during the fiscal year that ended on September 30.

Razor wire or just regular barbed wire? The three strands angled back is typically barbed wire. They didn’t have the angled brackets when I was a kid - but the three strands of barbed wire at the top of the fence was never a deterrent to us.
Heh - reminds me of working with a guy just a few years younger than me I suppose I was 28 and he was 23. We were out in the woods and came across a 8-foot tall chain-link fence (no barbed wire). “Okay - I’ll climb up, hand the gear up to me, climb over, and I’ll hand it back down.”
He looked at me dumbfounded. “How are we going to climb up?”
I couldn’t believe this guy had never climbed a chain-link fence! He did it. I think quietly he was pretty proud of himself.
sounds like Veritas’s tape re: Beto staff aiding illegals was right - some have already arrived, likely by bus or hired car.
Both have a wire core; its the size of the barbs and the added razor edges along the wire that make it more of a barrier. Bare wire, even tri-rolls, are not a barrier, but an impediment. Its best to lay double stacks with a DMZ between.
Either way, it will stop people from rushing the fences, unless they have heavy materials to span the full width. A piece of carpet is enough to throw over a typical span or wire cutters can breech it in minutes. If you dont have someone to see and respond to a breech, then anyone can get through.
It was razor wire, not barbed...forensic hospital..the place that they send someone who in a fit of rage, gouges out his girlfriend’s eyeballs, and eats them.
At this point i would think the drug cartels would stop the caravans to protect their interests. I am simply shocked they have let it get to this point. If we must put troops on the border, stop every gram and ounce.
Open borders is a drug cartel dream.
Yes, OUR caravan passed near me. Godspeed.
