He hadn't worked a campaign since handing out 'I Like Ike' signs...

It’s been a few years since married couple Marylee and Grayson Sanders have volunteered for political campaigns — her last was for the younger Bush, his for Eisenhower, passing out “I like Ike” signs in the 1950s.

Saturday morning, they spent hours making hundreds of calls at the Irvine campaign headquarters of Rep. Mimi Walters, trying to get voters out to the polls to keep her in office and hold on to Republican control of the House.

Marylee, 74, said she was motivated to get involved after the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings because she felt the then-nominee to the Supreme Court was treated unfairly. She said she wasn’t a fan of President Trump’s way of expressing himself but supported his policies, including scaling back business regulations and restricting immigration...

I think the LA Times is publishing this because they want to maintain their credibility. Even in California, the election might not be going as well as the freaks want.

Most of the people who don’t like the way he expresses himself don’t realize it’s just his dry sense of humor. Most of the things people find offensive don’t realize he is joking.

Yeah my 28 year old daughter who has two sons, is pretty motivated to vote as well.
The Kavanaugh thing showed her that the crazies could come for anyone’s son.

We all need to get out there to support two of the greatest men of our times; Justice Kavanaugh and President Trump,

Both have fought against such evil lies and slanders and emerged with their dignity intact. They have willing faced every one of Satan’s arrows out of pure love And devotion to the Republic .

These men have given every last ounce of strength for US - the LEAST we can do is vote patriot for them !

My first political work was when I was still in high school in President Reagan’s 1984 re-election canpaign. I haven’t ever missed an election. I have to be very careful of my political efforts since I’m not only in TV, but a member of management to boot. I donate to local races. I hope that people who can and have time to do so keep getting involved. It’s tougher for us because unlike the antifa crowd we have jobs and family responsibilities, so everyone counts!

Kavanaugh’s accusers are starting to admit they lied to help the Democrat Party.

The LA Times has a new owner. Korean American billionaire Dr. Soon Shiong. He made his money in pharmaceuticals and is developing a massive cancer database in support of his theory that cancer can be defeated by finding common markers and then finding which drugs work best against each subtype (or something like that, forgive my layman’s explanation). Current treatment involves finding drugs that work against cancers organ by organ, but his theory is a little different.

Brilliant man, and probably not a leftist.

Yes, give them all the justice they deserve for lying to Congress. And little did they know that in trying to help the Democrats they crashed the blue wave and created what may end up being a red wave. They all deserve a lesson; the left and the Democrats are completely unhinged and off the rails. People who lie don’t deserve power, and people afraid to admit their true political agenda are too dangerous to be trusted.

I much, much prefer a Bernie Sanders - who is not afraid to say what his beliefs are - to these sniveling, lying frauds running as ‘centrists’ but who support 90%+ of the Democrats agenda and will probably end up voting with the party in even greater percentage. Kavanaugh was the perfect example of that - many Dems knew that the were unfairly trying to railroad him with slander and lies, didn’t speak up to stop it, and voted with the party instead of accepting that appointing justices is the prerogative of POTUS. It will be even worse in the House where politicians are even more beholden to party politics. The Dems cannot be trusted with political power.

Another example is the way the Dems and HRC used the intelligence services to try to install her to the office, spy on the opposition and collude with foreign governments including Russia to try to influence the outcome of the vote. If the Dems gain control of the House, the investigation into their abuse will stop and they will launch another layer of investigations on top of the ridiculous Mueller charade. They must be stopped, defeated, and hopefully crushed. I say this as a person who wants a loyal opposition with good ideas - competition is good it makes better products including better politics. But this crop of Dems are whinging, lying infants devoid of ideas (or at least ideas they are willing to admit publicly) and should be pushed as far away from power as possible.

"Kavanaugh’s accusers"

Carlos-Danger-Anthony-Weiner made sure voters focused on Hillary's sleaze the final week before the 2016 election, it looks like the Kavanaugh accusers made sure that motivated and patriotic voters would focus on democrat sleaze for this election. I often worry because of just how useless our "leaders" are. Thank God the democrats are far worse.

Most people who don’t like the way Trump expresses himself have never watched one of his speeches, his rallies etc. They only hear the cherry-picked sound bites that the dishonest press plays over and over and over again.

So Trump is not an Orator like Reagan, but he gets the job done. Frankly I like his style direct and to the point.

Then I’m use to the Military frankness being the wife of a Ret. SCPO.

I agree, I came from a military family, worked in construction all my life and on top of all that I’m a Scot, so I totally appreciate his directness, I also get his sense of humor

Actually, Dr. was born in South Africa...His parents came to South Africa from China...

I don’t think LA TIMES editorial board changed just because Dr. took over...I think LA Times is still a left-wing newspaper...
