Some Valley residents question the need for a large military presence and fear it will tarnish the area’s image.

LOL! Ya, right! When one thinks of the Rio Grande "Valley" we never think of illegals crossing and confrontations with Border Patrol. I know that I want to visit the Rio Grande Valley and this tarnishes it!!

Yeah! We WERE going to take our entire family on a week long vacation trip to the border, but I cancelled those plans after reading this story about a “tarnished image.”
