HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - President Donald Trump attacked the media on Friday afternoon, accusing reporters of inciting violence just one week after a series of explosive devices were mailed to critics of the president, as well as one media outlet.
“You know what, you’re creating violence by your question. You are creating. You," Trump said at the White House as he left for a campaign rally, pointing to a reporter who said some had suggested the president's rhetoric could be encouraging violence. "...The fake news is creating violence."
“I'll tell you what, if the media would write correctly and write accurately and write fairly, you’d have a lot less violence in the country,” he added.
The president on Friday also appeared to back away from his comment the day before that troops along the U.S.-Mexico border might shoot at immigrants approaching the border under some circumstances, saying then that “when they throw rocks like they did at the Mexico military and police, I say, consider it a rifle."
On Friday, he said soldiers "won't have to fire."
If anyone were to throw rocks at troops, "they're gonna be arrested, there's gonna be problems," he said. "I didn't say 'shoot.' But they do that with us, they're gonna be arrested for a long time."
Trump reiterated his intention to terminate the constitutionally provided right to birthright citizenship through an executive order, despite question surrounding the legality of such a move. “The Supreme Court will determine that,” he said.

Imagine if you told the truth all the time, the audience may actually grow.
For the two months of September and October, the media ran 10 times more negative coverage of Trump and Republicans than they do about all Democrats combined. They reported 67% positive coverage on Democrats overall, excepting the Elizabeth Warren DNA test mockery.
And compared to 4 years ago, they ran four times more political coverage overall.
I say that the airing of 4x more political coverage, 90% of it negative against Trump and the GOP, epitomizes the word “barrage”. And it is not coincidental, or even incidental to the general news cycle. They are literally attempting to tie any bit of news to Trump, and spinning it negatively. The Saudis kill Kashoggi, Trump’s fault. Feinstein breaks the anonymity of an accuser, Trump’s fault for nominating the accused. A Trump hating anti-Semite goes murdering Jews, wouldn’t have happened if Trump wasn’t elected. There are poor people in Honduras? Trump’s budget didn’t include enough foreign aid. Cat stuck in tree? Trump didn’t allocate more money to firemen. It is a barrage of anti-Trump propaganda.
The funny thing is they are so obtuse and oblivious, it seems to be having the opposite effect of what they intend. During this same period Trump’s approval numbers have moved from the low 40% to 51% as of today. The “blue wave” crashed and GOP numbers seem strong in early absentee voting, and GOP candidates are gaining ground in the competitive Senate and House races.
That’s a great point, and adds to the facts I wrote above. They are caught between Scylla and Charybdis. They need ratings so they cover Trump. Four times more political coverage this cycle than the last mid-terms. But, they hate Trump so they spin it almost entirely negative.
And yet they forget the old Hollywood axiom, ‘a knock is as good as a plug’. They are giving him free coverage. And he plays them like a fiddle every time. They are all out anti-Trump and his approval ratings jump 10% points as a result.
The answer seems obvious, either stop covering Trump or start giving him good coverage. Well they are so brainwashed into believing he is Mephistopheles they won’t give him fair coverage even though journalistic ethics requires it (they have thrown the ethics book away, and have brought in a new crop of very sloppy thinking commentators). But if they stop covering him altogether the rating and advertising revenues plummet and they lose their jobs.

That’s actually the hilarious part. If CNN and MSNBC actually stopped hating the President and Christians and Israel, they would actually GROW and make more money.
If they would report on the positive things of the President and actually investigate the Clinton Crime Machine, they might actually be worth watching.
