Today show weatherman Al Roker is under fire for dressing up on Halloween as Doc Brown, the quirky and white time machine inventor in the Back to the Future trilogy.
Some social media users asked why it was all right for him to dress up as a Caucasian character, while NBC canceled his colleague Megyn Kellys show after her controversial blackface comments.
Im going to say this one last time, but the folks who get it, understand and the ones who DONT, wont, Roker tweeted to explain why his 80s-themed costume was not an example of whiteface.
I can be Doc Brown, and I wear the outfit and wig and not change my skin color if youre white, you can be President Obama if you want. Just dont color your skin!

Ever notice that when women lose weight, everyone says, "wow, you look great", but when men lose a bunch of weight, people ask, "are you OK?".
That said, people should feel free to dress as anything they want. I have no problem with people dressing as other races. Wearing makeup to look black is not the same as "Blackface", and shouldn't offend anyone. I would actually find it funny if a black person dressed up in Blackface, only to have triggered white SJW's attack them before realizing they were really black.
