You’re right it’s not relevant...decades of his own inner rage does not go away...He met his targeted goal to kill people. The only thing he’ll be horrified about is when he realizes prison is well beyond what he imagined.
I just remember a few deer I had succeeded in killing with a head shot as a teenager. It almost made me puke.
