BILLINGS The Libertarian candidate in Montana's U.S. Senate race has thrown his support behind Republican Matt Rosendale in response to an election mailer from an unknown group that appears aimed at undermining Rosendale's support among conservatives. Rick Breckenridge said Wednesday that he doesn't know the source of the mailer promoting him as a "true conservative" and claiming Rosendale supports using drones to spy on private citizens.
Breckenridge says it's an attempt by so-called dark money groups to influence Montana's election and he's decided that Rosendale is the best candidate to stop such efforts.

Good news if the action is effective.
But knowing the contrary nature of Montanan politics, there are probably enough renegade pseudo-Libertarians out there to STILL throw the election to Tester the Teaser.

What % of the vote was this guy polling?
Yea, would be great if the Indiana Libertarian would pull out and back Braun.

The Libertarian Party would be far more effective in achieving its goals if it were a club similar to the NRA.
At one time, I was very active in my state's Libertarian Party. It became clear to me that they caused more harm than good.

Does anyone remember a race where the Libertarian candidate tilted the election to the Republican rather than the Demoncrat?

Partner, We can not stand that arrogant "Tester."
We hope he is toast as the U.S. Senator representing the great state of Montana.

Got in an argument with an L not to long back.
Told him they needed to start at the bottom and capture a number of county offices. He cracked off about how many Libertarians were already elected to local offices.
Forget the exact numbers but his boast was based on something like 1 Libertarian for every 32 counties.

Great news!
WRT Libertarians, I have often thought that their best course of action would be to start at the grass roots. Build knowledge of, and confidence in, their ideals at a low level and then have better known and more competent people run for higher office after a few years. Do this in 1,000 different communities. Eventually capture a state legislature and/or a governorship, and thereby come to national prominence. Starting at the level of US Senator or President is just not going to work - even if they won, they wouldn’t have a big base of support and likely wouldn’t know what to do.
Just my $0.02.
