Washington, D.C. – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Representative Andy Barr for re-election in Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District.
“Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse Congressman Andy Barr, a staunch advocate for unborn children and their mothers,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Rep. Barr is a co-sponsor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, legislation to protect babies from late-term abortion after five months of pregnancy. His pro-life leadership in Congress also includes fighting to stop the flow of tax dollars to Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses. While his opponent tries to downplay her extreme position on abortion, Kentuckians can count on Rep. Barr to stand up for their values. We encourage all pro-life voters to support him at the polls.”
Rep. Barr has represented the 6th Congressional District since 2013. Prior to serving in Congress, he worked as a legislative assistant for Representative Jim Talent and as deputy general counsel to Governor Ernie Fletcher. Barr is a member of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus and has co-sponsored the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, the No Taxpayer Funding of Abortion Act, the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act, and the Defund Planned Parenthood Act. He and his wife Carol have two daughters.
