Yeah, it makes me a little disappointed. You see these actors in various movies - I enjoyed "Space Cowboys" - and have a pleasant couple of hours of entertainment.

Then, they go and assume that since I enjoy watching them do their job, I might be interested in their politics. Ruins the whole experience.

I'd never bring politics into the workplace. It's unprofessional. Even around the watercooler, I mostly keep my mouth shut - in some places (like universities...) it was out of fear of reprisals, others just because it's the right thing to do.

Yep...I’ve no use for celebrities that use their status to promote political activism and like you say, it should be kept out of the workplace.
