With only a few exceptions, Democrats face more uncertain prospects in Republican-held House seats centered on the blue-collar, exurban and rural communities where Trump remains popular

If Black voters and Latino voters would show up more strongly for the GOP than expected in the mid-terms, that would put the fear of God into Democrats. They have built their party on keeping those two groups on their plantation.
Yes it will. Then, it will be up to the GOP to prove that they deserved our support. The first test will be shortly after the election when the new leaders for both Chambers are nominated by the lame ducks.
Its hilarious the spin theyre trying to put on things......educated people support the Democrats - its only those backward uneducated rubes who support the Republicans.
Hmmm....didnt Trump carry White college grads in 2016? Why.....YES! He did!
It also says the Democrats do well with Blacks and Latinos. Suddenly all talk about education levels as compared to the national average disappears. Gosh, why is that?
I also notice talk of a blue wave has evaporated as has any talk of taking the Senate. Now all their hopes are pinned on taking the House. If theyre denied even that, Ill laugh long and heartily.

Regarding Eastern Washington is dark red: I’m curious to see what will happen in the Cathy McMorris Rodgers race. I haven’t seen any polling, just lots of commercials on both sides and tons of Lisa Brown signs everywhere. It will be interesting to see how Spokane County votes, since CMR narrowly lost it in the primary.
The national ‘generic poll’ is worthless in a mid-term election. It blends and averages the answers from fanatically liberal coastal folk with the common sense of the ‘fly-over folk’. The spread the pollsters come up with is potentially true for a national election.
But the mid-terms are about state and local races. The fanaticism of the coastals has no significant effect on the decisions made in Iowa or Texas.
Just the same, get out and vote !
They call them “Yahoo” for a reason.
