I think that is the way with Christianity and maturity of a believer. Sometimes I need to reread I John chapter four and remind myself there are a lot of fallen people in churches but there are also manipulative cons who want to sift our souls like wheat. it's bad enough to see evil in this world and we need to have a sanctuary, people, the church to seek solace, worship and fed on the Word. Some times, like you it's been very hard to find.
