Exactly, it is Wiemar all over again. Contrary to popular belief, the National Socialists were not the Right. The Conservatives were weak and enept. The Socialists combined with the Fascists to become the Third Reich. Not to mention the debt and hyper-inflation.

Hitler's economic platform, hmm, sounds familiar...suspended the gold standard (FDR/Nixon ended it), embarked on huge public-works programs like autobahns (Pork spending that Repubs specialize in), protected industry from foreign competition (Trump), expanded credit (Every politician known to man while we gladly accept that), instituted jobs programs (Repubs and Dems), bullied the private sector on prices and production decisions (Trump/dems do that), expanded the military (Repubs and Dems), enforced capital controls (Again, Repub and Dems promote that), instituted family planning (Do you see Repubs ending PP subsidization?), penalized smoking (Both Repubs and Dems), brought about national health care and unemployment insurance (Repubs fake opposing this because they are too scared to tell the gibsmedats, "No!!!"), imposed education standards (Repubs and Dems), and ran huge deficits (Repubs and Dems).

We are weak and inept because the powers that be in our country have been emulating Hitler's economic plans for decades. We allow our politicians to instill central planning schemes and continue to vote for this.
