Indeed. Multiple OC-3 trunks would be better.
I got fiber to the house last December. I’m getting better than 900 Mb/s up and down. Here, I just ran another Speedtest for giggles:

A buddy does tower backhaul for AT&T. It’s nothing for him to be designing in the really big OCs, 192 and up.
