It’s being treated here as if the people pushing socialism were innocents who thought it might work. That’s not the case. The people pushing socialism at the higher levels are fully aware that it doesn’t work. Their goal is NOT to create a worker’s paradise it’s to destroy the power of freedom and the United States.
It’s a con: Yes, YOU can have a free lunch. YOU can give according to your ability and take according to your needs. Except that it’s a lie used to con the gullible and greedy... to seduce them into bondage.
People like Bernie Sanders know exactly was socialism is about and it has NOTHING to do with making citizen’s lives better or life fair. It’s a con - an evil mind-numbing human horror.

I like to think of Socialism as a fleece lined cage with the door open, pillows and food, and even a seductive mate awaiting inside, waiting for the moment when you are too far in,,, and the door slams shut.
