THE US midterms on November 6 are shaping up to be among the most anticipated general US elections for years - but why has migration become such a hot topic among voters and how could it shape the result?
American voters have the chance to affect President Donald Trump’s presidency and his ability to pass future legislation in the upcoming midterms.
The midterms are general elections held every four years in the middle of a US president's office.
They decide which US politicians will sit in Congress, the body responsible for law-making in the United States.
Congress is made up of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
And with President Trump keen to maintain a Republican Party majority in both, he has leapt on the topic of migration to win crucial votes.
What is the migration caravan crisis and why is it importrant to President Trump?
Mr Trump's latest war of words concerns a travelling band of Central American migrants crossing Mexico in the hope of reaching the United States border.
The group, which originated in Sand Pedro Sula, Honduras, on October 12 has swelled from a few hundred to several thousand people....

To me the caravan is terrible for democrats. It demonstrates in real time to every American that the wall is necessary and needs to be built yesterday.

Four years, huh? Does that mean all those voting every two years, are voting illegally?

I agree. Sarah Sanders who was on the scene reported that they tended to put the women and children up front for the cameras. The vast majority were men.
If you look at the photos it’s men under 30. So, who you gonna believe, the media or yer lyin’ eyes?
I agree. It will be interesting to see how the RATS react as the caravan gets closer and closer to the border.
We have had a million illegal aliens a year coming into our country illegally with no one willing to do anything about it.
We now have 30 million + already here and we do not want any more.
We do not have to let them in.
It is OUR country.
We are supposed to decide how many can come in.
Personally, I think 1.5 million legal immigrants is too many.
Put another million illegal aliens on top of that and it is UNSUSTAINABLE.
Both parties are responsible for this mess.
Amnesty is not the answer, that’s what caused this mess.
ALL of the Bush League Republicans MUST be replaced with patriots.
It is long past time the citizens had some one on their side.

The invading horde from South America is being accompanied by a caravan consisting of females and some children.
Many armies have caravans of 'females' that follow them.
So, when the media says the 'caravan' is mostly female and children, that is correct. The invading horde is all male and a mix of various foreigners.
