I don’t think it speaks to Luciano’s wartime good deeds as much as it speaks to the scale, scope and magnitude of the tasks of securing the U.S. mainland while planning multiple overseas invasions and campaigns. In the grand scheme of things Lucky’s contribution is notable but it still did not prevent him from being deported back to Italy.
