Definitely a crude clock. My grandkids built better ones than that. Hook up some lemons in series, and connect black wire probe from one end and the red wire probe from the other end to an LCD clock display. Yep, it’s a lemon!

I'm reminded of the Ahmed Mohammed incident, the boy who built a crude bomb in school and ended up being defended and then befriended by Barack Obama.

I can only imagine the meltdown that would have occurred if President Trump had done a similar thing.
