Buttermilk was Dale Evans horse. Trigger was Roy’s palomino.
Seems like I read somewhere that Buttermilk was actually faster than Trigger, and had to be held back when they were galloping together.

Dark Command was the movie that John Wayne and Roy Rodgers were in. Hard to believe it was so long ago. Used to watch the Cisco Kid too. I think Tex Ritter’s horse was Midnight. Black and white tv and Saturday mornings. 😊
