They said it will have enough life boats for all of the passengers.

As in most disasters it wasn’t just one thing. A whole series of things had to go wrong for that ship to sink.

-—It doesnt make any sense to replicate those in a modern cruise liner...——
Right, but it’s a specialty vessel with a nostalgic “hook”.
You’re paying for a lot of the 1912 experience, not the 2018 experience.
Also, it’s a lot smaller than modern cruise ships. Less expensive to build and maintain.
They’ll make money on it.

Of all the sins the gods despise, the greatest of these is hubris.

Titanic II to set sail in 2022, retrace the route of the original ship Hopefully, it doesn't retrace the route all the way to the ocean floor.

Granted, but after the first voyage, if they make it, I suspect the reviews will not be so great...

Hopefully no one will be challenging God this time “God himself couldn’t sink this ship!!”
If anyone says anything like that, get off the boat.

Better steel. Better nav equipment. Better watertight flood doors. Better lifesaving equipment. Better communications. Better decision. Making.
There are so many things to improve. That said, a retro new Titanic sounds fun.

Bigger rudder.
More Lifeboats.
No trying to set speed records.

If this goes well, maybe they can replicate the Hindenburg.I'm thinking the same thing. Maybe they can make a package deal where you take the Hindenburg II to the dock to pick up the Titanic II.

It’s not a “replica”. It’s a restomod.
